React

Overview

React is a JavaScript library for building user interfaces, created by Meta. You build each screen from small, reusable components, and React keeps the page in step with the data as it changes.

How I Use React

I build the front end of web apps with React and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS and built with Vite. That covers dashboards, forms, booking screens and admin panels: the parts of an app people use every day.

Each screen talks to the back end through a REST API. I keep components small and typed, so they’re safe to change later, and I test the important flows with Vitest and React Testing Library. Every page is responsive and built with accessibility in mind, so it works on a phone, with a keyboard or with a screen reader.

Why React

It’s the most widely used front-end library, so it’s well supported and there’s a proven package for almost every need. Its component model suits apps that grow: a new feature is a new component, not a rewrite. With TypeScript on top, many mistakes are caught before users ever see them.
